Cemex said on Tuesday it had increased its domestic bagged cement prices by MXP138/t (US$9.5), citing higher raw material costs.

Cemex said the price increases took effect on Feb. 1 in Mexico, one of its biggest markets.

"The cost of the main raw materials to produce cement have grown at a faster rate than the market price," Cemex said in an email to Reuters.

Cemex said it hiked bulk cement prices by 92 pesos a tonne, although it declined to give the increase as a percentage or any further details.
