Holcim to invest US$100m in Colombia to boost cement output

Holcim Ltd plans to invest more than US$100m in Colombia to boost its output of cement, the company said Tuesday in a statement.
 
Holcim will boost the production at its biggest cement making plant, located in Nobsa in the northern eastern province of Boyaca, by 700,000tpa, which represents an increase of 45% of its current capacity.
 
The expansion of the plant started Tuesday and will last 18 months, the statement said.
