Lafarge expects a 15-20 per cent rise in the cement market in 2008, said Philippe Questiaux, general manager of  LafargeCement Romania.

For LafargeCement Romania, 2007 was an exceptional year, with a 30 per cent increase in the market, from 2006. The rise was reflected in the sales of the French group in Romania.

Lafarge Romania announced for 2007 a turnover of EUR400m, for all the three divisions it is present in Romania with, (ie cement, aggregates and concrete, gypsum), up over 40 per cent from 2006, when EUR280m in turnover were posted.
