New plants in UAE set to ease shortages

The cement shortage affecting the UAE’s construction industry, and which has seen prices rocket, should ease shortly with new factories coming on line, reported ArabianBusiness.com. The Union Cement Company is set to open a plant in Ras Al Khaimah within weeks which will produce 10Mta of cement. Another facility in Fujariah, with an output of 3Mta, should open before the end of 2007. Published under Cement News
