Lafarge said it recorded revenues of EUR16.9bn in 2006 compared to EUR14.48bn in 2005.
In a statement, Lafarge said that "in order to reflect the divestment underway of our Roofing business, and in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, 2006 full year sales are presented excluding Roofing."
In the fourth quarter, Lafarge recorded sales of EUR4.2bn compared with EUR3.81bn a year earlier.
The cement division recorded full year sales of EUR8.85bn compared with EUR7.62bn in 2005. In the fourth quarter, Lafarge’s cement division sales stood at EUR2.2bn from EUR1.96bn the fourth quarter of 2005.
The aggregates and concrete division sales for the full year stood at EUR6.43 billion compared with EUR5.38bn a year earlier. In the fourth quarter, the division’s sales stood at EUR1.6bn from EUR1.45bn in the fourth quarter of 2005.
The gypsum division recorded full year revenue of EUR1.6bn from EUR1.46bn in 2005. In the last quarter of 2006, the division’s sales stood at EUR397m from EUR381m a year earlier.
