04 September 2006

Holcim Romania expects an increase of over 30 per cent year-on-year in its concrete sales in the capital Bucharest in 2006, due to the great demand as a result of a large number of ongoing real estate projects, the company’s Bucharest regional director for concrete and aggregates, Catalin Popescu, said on September 1, 2006. So far in 2006, the company has delivered 100,000 cu.m of concrete. The company’s Bucharest unit has a capacity of 2000 cu.m daily.

The company supplies concrete for a number of real estate projects in Bucharest, including Victoria Plaza, implemented by Bog’Art; S Park, carried out by Antrepriza de Constructii si Montaj Special; City Center, being built by Consola, and Esmeralde Residence, carried out by Angora, Popescu said.
