Idaho department of environmental quality seeks Ash Grove comment
27 September 2005

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a proposed permit to construct and draft Tier I air quality operating permit for the Ash Grove Cement Co. facility in Inkom.  The company has applied for the permit to construct to install a vibratory feeder, conveyor and clinker elevator. The Tier I permit would consolidate all existing air permits and state and federal air quality requirements applicable to the facility into one document. Under the Tier I permit, emissions would be limited to currently allowable levels.

DEQ issues air quality permits for new and modified buildings, structures, and installations that emit or may emit air pollution.  Copies of the permit package are available for review at DEQ’s State and Pocatello Regional offices, the Marshall Public Library, and on DEQ’s Web site in PDF format.  Public comment will be accepted through 5 p.m. MDT, Wednesday, October 26, 2005.
