Semen Gresik July cement sales 1.48Mt; up 6.3% YoY

Indonesia’s largest cement maker PT Semen Gresik’s July cement sales grew 6.3 pct year-on-year to 1.48Mt boosted by strong local sales, a report by the Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) said.  The report said Semen Gresik’s domestic sales in July rose 6.7% YoY to 1.27Mt from 1.19Mt a year earlier while exports increased 4.3% to 209,972t. 

In first seven months to July, Semen Gresik sold 9.04Mt of cement against 8.68Mt a year ago, with domestic sales accounting for 7.96Mt against 7.42Mt previously.  In contrast, exports over the seven-month period dropped 13.4% YoY to 1.09Mt.
