Asia Cement to invest US$600m in China Ops

Taiwan’s Asia Cement Corp said it plans to spend over US$600m on building cement plants along the Yangtze River to meet demand in China over the next ten years, the Commercial Times reports. 

Asia Cement, a unit of Taiwan’s Far Eastern Group, will likely generate total production capacity of 24Mt of cement from its China operations, according to the newspaper.
