Cruz Azul to build US$307m plant in Puebla State, Mexico

Mexican cement maker Cruz Azul plans to invest $307m in a plant in the region of Palmar de Bravo and Tecamachalco, located east from the Mexican capital, in the state of Puebla..

The announcement was made by the governor of the state of Puebla, Mario Marin Torres.  The plant will be built by Polysius, a subsidiary of the German construction and engineering group ThyssenKrupp, and is expected to start operating by the end of 2006. 
Cruz Azul expanded its capacity to 7.1Mt with its plant in the state of Aguascalientes, in northern Mexico, in 2004.
