Sibirskiy Cement offers to buy Kamenskiy Cement

Russian producer Sibirskiy Cement has offered the regional authorities of Buryatia to buy Kamenskiy Cement Works. Earlier the company had already purchased a rough base in Buryatia - Tatarskiy Klyuch open pit quarry. Experts think occupying Buryat market, Sibirskiy Cement will get the possibility to successfully promote it commodity in the eastern part of the country and also prevent expansion of Far East cement manufacturers. 

In 2003 Sibirskiy Cement (Kemerovo) obtained the cement assets of finance-industrial union Sibconsord joined by Topkinskiy Cement and Krasnoyarsk Cement. Also the company owns a 45 per cent stake in company Angarskcement. Summary output of cement production comes to 3Mta at Sibirskiy Cement.
