New Algerian cement plant contract awarded

China Triumph International Engineering Group Co (CTIEC) has signed an EPC contract with STG Engineering and Real Estate Development Company for a 4200tpd line in Algeria.

To be situated in the southern city of Adrar, the plant will involve a complete production line from mining to dispatch. With a total annual capacity of 1.5Mt, the new facility will also be able to produce 200,000tpa of oil well cement - marking the first time CTIEC's oil well cement technology will be employed in Algeria. 

Speaking to press after the signing ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Adrar, Bassa Bakhshi of STG, indicated the potential for future collaborations with the Chinese equipment supplier: "In view of CTIEC's wide business scope and superb business capacity, the two sides will widen and deepen cooperation in other building materials and the housing industry," Bakhshi said.
