Colombia's cement sales fall 2.8% in January

January cement sales in Colombia fell 2.8 per cent YoY to 913,190t, according to the country’s statistic office, DANE.

The largest decreases were reported in Casanare and Boyacá, which saw sales decrease by 46.8 and 25.5 per cent, respectively. Antioquia reported an increase in sales of  9.1 per cent when compared with January 2015.

Cement production in January 2017 reached 910,350t, down six per cent YoY. The share of bagged cement slipped by 2.8 per cent YoY.
