Four Roanoke Cement sites recertified by Wildlife Habitat Council
15 November 2017

Titan America-owned Roanoke Cement Co has received recertification of four of its sites by the Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC). The company’s Front Royal, Richmond and Bristol locations in Virginia, as well as its Winston-Salem (NC) terminal received the WHC “Conservation Certification” as recognition of the cement producer’s  meaningful wildlife habitat management and conservation education programmes.

"We are proud to showcase our environmental initiatives at the terminals," says David Brinkley, director of Distribution & Customer Resources at Roanoke Cement. "Having the Wildlife Habitat Council's recertification for each of them is a distinguished recognition confirming that all of Roanoke Cement's sites are on the right track ecologically. We look forward to continuing our conservation efforts providing pleasing, ‘green’ features within our terminal campuses. A few examples include pollinator meadows at Front Royal and Winston-Salem, avian habitats for the Eastern Bluebird in Richmond, and stream restoration in Bristol."
