Annaba port exports 300,000t clinker in 2020

The port of Annaba in Algeria has exported 300,000t of clinker to several African countries since the start of 2020. GICA will export 41,000t of clinker to the Dominican Republic and Haiti as it seeks new markets in Latin America, the company announced in a statement sent to EFE. Beni Saf starts clinker exports to Mauritania

GICA-owned Beni Saf Cement in Algeria started exports of clinker with a 13,000t shipment from the port of Ghazaouet to Mauritania on 18 November 2020. The company’s exports are in line with the government’s policy of promoting the country’s non-hydrocarbon exports. GICA has exported to Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Mauritania and Senegal.

Algeria exports to Dominican Republic

Algeria-based Société des Ciments de Aïn El Kebira (SCAEK), part of the GICA Group, has exported 40,000t of clinker to the Dominican Republic, reports L’Expression. GICA has exported some 550,000t of clinker since the start of the year to African and South American countries, including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Peru and Brazil, according to GICA.

Cilas de Biskra exports 50,000t of clinker to Gabon

Algeria-based cement producer Cilas de Biskra has exported a shipment of 50,000t of clinker from Annaba to Gabon, according to Hafid Ouchiche, export director of LafargeHolcim Algérie. Algeria-based Société des Ciments de Ain El Kebira (SCAEK) has succesfully completed the first phase of the American Petroleum Institute audit to certify petroleum cement as a new product manufactured by the cement producer. Amouda Ciment exports 3200t to Niger

In 2019 Algeria-based Amouda Ciment’s El Beida cement plant exported more than 3200t of cement to Niger, according to El Watan. The company’s first export shipment was carried out in August, when it supplied 1400t to Niger and was followed by two deliveries of 400t each in October and November.
