BBMG expects to post first-quarter loss

China-based cement producer BBMG Corp said it expects to record a loss attributable to shareholders of about CNY60m (US$9.7m) for the first quarter of 2013 compared to CNY294m profit in the same period of last year. The loss is attributed to lower selling prices in the areas in which BBMG’s subsidiaries operate due to lower demand. (Source: ET Net News Agency).

JP Morgan lowers BBMG Corp target price, China

JP Morgan has lowered its target price for BBMG Corp to HK$5.5 from HK$6.3 and maintained its ‘neutral’ rating. The research house says the weakness in the cement business was offset by BBMG’s robust property development business where revenue and gross profit both saw 42-44 per cent YoY growth. BBMG Corp expects 1Q net profit drop, China

BBMG Corp expects its net profit to fall 12.75 per cent in the first half of 2012 to CNY1.43bn (US$223.9m) due to declining cement prices amid weak demand. The company’s operating revenue was forecast to rise 14.84 per cent YoY to CNY15.02bn in the first six months, according to reports in China Business Knowledge.
