Work starts on dismantling Hranice cement’s cooler

Alicem sro has started dismantling work for the clinker cooler modernisation project at the Hranice cement plant   ( Buzzi Unicem group ) in the Czech Republic. In one day Alicem dismantled 110t of technology, specifically the complete dust settling chamber and part of the kiln hood.

Buzzi Unicem reported consolidated net sales in the 9M22 of EUR3004m, up 18.2 per cent compared to EUR2542m in 9M21. Czech market expands 5% in 2021

Cement consumption in the Czech Republic saw a 5.2 per cent advance to 4.68Mt in 2021 when compared with the previous year, according to the Czech Cement Association. Domestic cement production advanced by 4.6 per cent YoY to 4.72Mt in 2021 from 4.513Mt in 2020. Of this total, 0.615Mt was exported, representing a 9.2 per cent increase on export volumes in 2020. Czech cement producer Cement Hranice , owned by Dyckerhoff AG, increased its sales by 13.4 per cent to CZK2.037bn (US$89.8m) in 2021 when compared with sales posted in 2020. Buzzi Unicem has announced its consolidated financial results of 2021 which saw cement and clinker sales rise by 6.7 per cent to 31.2Mt from 29.25Mt in 2020. Cement sales of the Buzzi Unicem group amounted to 31.2Mt in 2021, increasing by 6.7 per cent when compared to 2020. Českomoravský Cement plans CZK300m sustainability investment into Radotín

Czech cement producer Českomoravský Cement is preparing an investment of CZK300m (US$13.71m) to improve the environmental performance of its Radotín plant. The purchase of a new vertical mill and other environmental measures will enable the works to reduce CO 2 emissions by 12 per cent and electricity consumption by 24 per cent by 2030. Czech Republic sees domestic sales up 4% in 2020

The Czech Republic’s cement output declined 1.2 per cent YoY to 4.51Mt in 2020, which was still the second-highest level since 2008, according to preliminary data. Overall domestic sales expanded by 4.2 per cent to 4Mt. Cement exports declined 26 per cent to 562,720t, with the most important markets being Slovakia (almost 50 per cent), Poland (about 25 per cent), Germany (18 per cent) and Austria (10 per cent), according to the Czech News Agency.
