Global Credit Ratings (GCR) has today affirmed the national scale ratings assigned to ARM Cement Ltd of A(KE) and A1(KE) in the long term and short term respectively. The outlook is Stable. Northern Cement Co announced Tuesday that it would issue CNY1bn (US$160m) worth of 365-day bills on 4 June 2014. The money raised will be used to repay bank loans and replenish operating capital.

Xinjiang Tianshan floats CNY500m bills in April

Xinjiang Tianshan Cement Co Ltd issued CNY500m (US$80m) worth of financial bills on 29 April 2014 with a maturity of 365 days and a coupon rate of 5.97 per cent, according to a recent company announcement. The northwest China-based cement manufacturer intends to spend CNY200m worth of proceeds from the issuance to repay bank loans and use the remaining CNY300m to replenish working capital.

Henan Tongli plans share issuance, China

Henan Tongli Cement Co Ltd plans to issue 48m shares to China United Cement Group Corp at CNY6.32 per share via a private placement, according to company announcement yesterday. The central China-based producer intends to spend CNY303m worth of proceeds from the issuance to repay bank loans and replenish working capital. For the first nine months of the year, Cemex' turnover edged ahead by 0.7 per cent to  US$11,352.7m but but EBITDA eased by 0.3 per cent to US$2001.2m as Mexico continues to drag on the company's performance although substantial improvements are seen in the US.
