Ujjwal Batria appointed as Lafarge India CEO

Lafarge has appointed Ujjwal Batria as the India CEO effective 22 June 2015. Mr Batria takes over the responsibility from Martin Kriegner who has been appointed future Area Manager Central Europe of LafargeHolcim.   Mr Ujjwal Batria has been with Lafarge for the past 16 years. Prior to his appointment as the Country CEO, Lafarge India, Mr Batria was the MD of Lafarge India Private Ltd.

New managing director at Unicon A/S

Søren Holm Christensen, finance director in the Nordic and Baltic region of Cementir Holding, has been appointed managing director for its subsidiary, Unicon A/S in Denmark, as of 1 September 2015. Søren Holm Christensen takes over from Jesper Knudsen, who will take on a position as CEO of EL:CON, after nine years of employment, including six as Regional Director.

Spanish cement maker Cementos Portland has appointed Alicia Alcocer Koplowitz as a non-executive president, the company said in a filing with stock market regulator CNMV.
