Feasibility study for Conch KT Cement plant in Kampong Speu completed

Conch KT Cement Co Ltd has completed a feasibility study on a cement plant planned for northwestern Kampong Speu province in Cambodia and is now working on the legal procedures to break ground, according to Vei Samnang, the provincial governor. China Resources Cement announced consolidated turnover amounted to HKD44bn (US$5.62bn) in 2021, representing an increase of 9.7 per cent over the previous year. Indonesian cement and clinker exports rise to record levels in 2021

Indonesia is rapidly expanding its cement and clinker export activities, with YoY volumes climbing by 25.2 per cent to reach a record 11.610Mt in 2021. By year end, cement exports grew by 46.6 per cent to 1.609Mt, while clinker volumes expanded by 22.3 per cent to 10.001Mt. Bangladesh and the Philippines were major clinker destinations, while cement destinations included Mauritius and the Maldives.

Malaysia-based cement producer Malayan Cement Berhad reported a surge in revenues to MYR821.045m in the 2QFY21-22 (ending 31 December 2021, up from MYR350.47m in the 2QFY20-21. Vietnam sees fall in January domestic sales while exports advance

Vietnam saw a 24 per cent drop in cement sales to 4,133,512t in January 2022 when compared with January 2021, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Of this total, VICEM sold 1,382,175t, down 20 per cent YoY, while other associated companies saw their sales shrink 27 per cent YoY to 911,337t in January 2022.
