Kazakh cement producer Steppe Cement saw its revenue increase 16 per cent to KZT36.02bn (US$82.7m) in 2021 as it sold 1,688,544t of cement, up from the 1,645,744t reported in 2020. The company’s domestic market share was 13.9 per cent. Exports fell by 57.2 per cent to 86,500t from 202,000t in 2020. Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has recorded an 8.5 per cent YoY rise in revenue to KZT12.05bn (US$28.33m) in the third quarter of 2021, compared to KZT11.11bn in the year-ago period. The company also saw sales volume for the period fall four per cent YoY to 535,200t. In the first nine months of 2021, revenue advanced 16 per cent to KZT28.81bn while sales volumes climbed four per cent to 1,375,464t.

Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has seen its cement sales volumes rise 10 per cent YoY to 840,661t in the first half of 2021, compared to 764,752t in the first six months of last year. Turnover also advanced 22 per cent YoY to KZT16,657m (US$38.87m) from KZT13,677m. The average ex-factory cement price in the 1H21 was KZT16,571/t against KZT14,727/t. Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has posted a net profit of US$11.1m for 2020, up 14.4 per cent YoY from US$9.7m in the previous year. EBITDA also saw a modest increase to US$24.2m from US$23.9m in 2019. Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has reported a one per cent increase in revenue to KZT30.96bn (US$73.59m) in its preliminary update for 2020. However, cement sales volumes declined 4.1 per cent YoY to 1.645Mt from 1.715Mt in 2019. The average ex-factory price in 2020 reached KZT15,760/t, compared with KZT14,885/t in the previous year. Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement saw a 5.2 per cent YoY increase in revenue to KZT11.11bn (US$26m) for the 3Q20, up from KZT10.56bn a year earlier. However, its sales volume declined four per cent to 556,162t. Average prices for delivered cement advanced to KZT18,841/t from KZT18,157/t. Steppe Cement of Kazakhstan reports that it sold 764,752t of cement in the 1H20 for KZT13,677m (US$33.24m), down from 780,315t for KZT10,079m in 1H19. This represents a decline of two per cent in volume and three per cent in turnover. The average price of cement in the 1H20 was KZT17,884/t, excluding VAT, compared to KZT18,042/t in the 1H19. Steppe Cement posts 8% revenue rise in 2019

Kazakhstan-based Steppe Cement has posted revenues of KZT30.534bn (US$81m) for the year ended 31 December 2019. This represents a rise of eight per cent when compared with 2018. The company sold 1,715,761t of cement in 2019, marginally lower than the previous year. Steppe Cement is the country's fourth-largest cement producer with a total cement capacity of 1.9Mta. It operates two plants in Karaganda: the 1.1Mta Central Asia Cement works and the 0.8Mta Karcement unit.

Steppe Cement reports that in the 1Q19 the cement producer sold 266,393t of cement for KZT4455m (US$11.76m), compared to 197,179t of cement for KZT2313m in the 1Q18, an increase of 35 and 93 per cent, respectively.
