Holcim records 1Q22 net sales growth of 20%

Holcim announced net sales amounted to CHF6440m (US$6.72bn) in the 1Q22, up 20.1 per cent from CHF5362m recorded in the 1Q21. The company achieved double-digit net sales growth in Solutions  & Products, driven by its roofing business sales, to achieve net sales of CHF5bn. Swiss cement market sees 10% pick-up in 1Q22

Cement deliveries in Switzerland increased 10.2 per cent to 950,556t in the first quarter of 2022 when compared with 862,210t in the 1Q21, according to the Swiss cement association, cemsuisse. Holcim to exit Russian cement market

Holcim names new head of North America

Holcim has appointed Toufic Tabbara as region head for North America and member of the group executive committee, effective 1 march 2022. Mr Tabbara is currently CEO of US Cement and joined the Holcim Group in 1998 as director of strategy and development in the US. He has a strong track record of leading the company’s cement, ready-mixed concrete and aggregates businesses in the US, Canada, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Algeria.  

Holcim records net sales of CH6834m in 2021

Holcim recorded net sales of CH6834m (US$7367m) for 2021 were up 11.3 per cent on a like-for-like (LfL) basis and 16 per cent higher in Swiss francs, compared to the prior year. The record growth in net sales was driven by volume growth in all regions and business segments and strong pricing.
