The Manali Municipal Council (MC) has sent letters to the Kullu MC along with the Bhuntar and Banjar Nagar Panchayats, asking them not to send garbage to the waste treatment plant at Rangri in Manali, from 1 December, citing the excessive accumulation of waste at the local plant. UltraTech Cement has commenced the third Birla White wall care putty plant at Nathdwara, Rajasthan, India with a capacity of 4Mta at a total cost of INR1870m (US$22.8m). Grasim Industries announces 2% fall in net profit

Grasim Industries, which has a 57 per cent stake in UltraTech Cement Ltd , has reported standalone net profit of INR9643m (US$118.8m) in the quarter ended 30 September 2022, down 1.5 per cent YoY.  Revenue from operations over the same period advanced almost 37 per cent to INR67,450m, while EBITDA expanded 19.4 per cent to INR9566m. UltraTech Cement Ltd ( Aditya Birla Group ) has announced consolidated net sales of INR135,960m (US$1.64bn) for the quarter ended 30 September 2022, versus INR117,430m in the corresponding period of the previous year.
