Fabrizio Donegá new CEO of Cementos Moctezuma

Fabrizio Donegá has been appointed as new CEO of Cementos Montezuma following the retirement of Pedro Carranza Andersen after 21 years of service with the company. The appointment was formally approved by the Board of the Cementos Molins subsidiary on 3 October 2016. Mr Donegá has extensive experience in the cement industry in key positions at Ciments du Maroc, Vassiliko Cement Works, Shymkentcement and Italcementi.

Matteo Rozzanigo, CEO of the Spanish arm of FYM-Italcementi, has been appointed as new president of the Andalusian cement producers’ association (AFCA). Jaime Ruiz de Haro, president and CEO of Cemex Spain SLU Operations, has been elected president of Oficemen, the Spanish cement producers’ association, to replace Isidoro Miranda, CEO of LafargeHolcim in Spain. Bénédicte de Bonnechose is Lafarge France’s new managing director, following in the footsteps of Pascal Casanova, who moves to the LafargeHolcim Executive Committee. Since 1993, she has led a varied career with Lafarge, fullfilling a multitude of roles, including financial director of Betons France and director of strategy, public affairs and environment for Lafarge’s operations in France. From 1 March, Rodolfo Montero becomes the new CEO of Holcim México, succeeding Eduardo Kretschmer, who will leave Holcim after 34 years. Claassen to replace Tomes as PPC MD

Johann Claassen, former head of domestic operations, is to become MD of South Africa’s PPC. He will replace Richard Tomes who resigned effective Thursday to “pursue other opportunities”. "Johann is a professional engineer who joined PPC in 1989 and has served as executive of cement operations and of lime, and held various other senior and general management roles across the cement and lime divisions," PPC said in a statement.
