Construction market demand in the UK for mineral products was higher in the first three months of this year compared with the previous quarter, providing some evidence of continued impetus in construction activity at the start of the year, according to the Mineral Products Association (MPA). The UK's Office of National Statistics has released its construction figures for August that saw a fall of 1.5 per cent in construction activity.
