Bangladesh's cement industry saw disappointing news about the wastage of imported raw materials from India for the industry. Ambuja Cement to add 1GW of renewable energy

Ambuja Cement ( Adani Group ) has announced a plan to add 1GW of solar and wind generation capacity. The company will invest INR60bn (US$72m) in solar and wind projects in two Indian states. Cement prices across Pakistan have risen over recent weeks, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The lowest price for a 50kg bag now stands at PKR1265 (US$4.52) with the maximum price coming in at PKR1400. Pakistani cement dispatches fell by 2.1 per cent to 3.924Mt in November 2023 from 4.009Mt in November 2022, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
