Peru-based Cemento Inka plans to start the civil works for its new 0.7Mta grinding plant in Pisco in August. The US$20m project is expected to take 12 months to complete with commissioning due in the 2H20, according to the company’s Director and Marketing Manager, Carlos Alberto Choy. UTD Cement, a joint venture of two Germany-based companies and a private investor, will build a US$400m cement plant in Farishky district, Jizzakh, Uzbekistan. Eagle Cement Corp said the opening of its cement plant in Malabuyoc in Cebu, Philippines, will be delayed following issues in receiving the required permits for its construction.
