Pakistan: Fauji Cement silo collapse disrupts production

Fauji Cement Company Ltd (Pakistan) has reportedly halted production due to the collapse of the raw material silo at its Jhang Bahtar cement plant in Attock District, Punjab. The 25,000t capacity raw material silo collapsed and also damaged the coal mill building of the plant’s 7200tpd clinker production Line 2, requiring the closure of the line for up to six months until the damage is repaired. Seychelles: Lafarge to open 4000t cement silo

Lafarge is developing a 4000t cement silo in the Seychelles in partnership with Sri Lankan engineering company Dynamic Technologies. The structure will be built in Sri Lanka and shipped to the Indian Ocean island. The France-based cement producer and the engineering company developed a similar facility in Mayotte earlier this year.
