KHD Humboldt Wedag wins contract for 6000tpd clinker production line in China

Under a contract with CBMI Construction Co Ltd, Tangshan, China, as General Contractor, KHD Humboldt Wedag AG, Cologne, Germany has received the order for design and supply of the key components for a new 6000tpd clinker production line. The customer is Guangzhou Heidelberg Yuexiu Cement, China.

By adopting advanced technology of preheater/calciner and kiln Guangzhou Heidelberg Yuexiu Cement project will have an important role to improve the environmental quality and the competition ability of Yuexiu Group. This was one reason of the client´s decision for KHD Humboldt Wedag AG and its most modern technology.

Scope of supply comprises:

a five-stage Humboldt preheater, type PR 7950/5 with PYROCLON‚-R calciner, PYROTOP‚ compact mixing chamber and combustion chamber with top air duct for the utilization of various secondary fuels

a PYRORAPID‚ rotary kiln 5.2m diameter and 70m long with two supporting roller stations

PYROJET‚ burner and combustion chamber burner.

Besides engineering and supply of machinery and equipment KHD Humboldt Wedag will also provide supervision of erection and commissioning and training services. The order reflects the strong position of KHD Humboldt Wedag AG as partner of the Chinese cement industry and the company´s flexibility in co-operation projects with Chinese partners.

The new cement production line is expected to be put into operation in mid 2005.
