At the beginning of each year, ICR provides an update on new cement capacity projects around the world. Capacity development projects are an infrequent and possibly unique event for a cement company, with a slowdown noted in the last few years. As a result, there are high levels of competition amongst potential contractors to supply and build such projects, leaving cement producers questioning how to choose between them. Therefore, this month’s Technical Forum will take a look at the evaluation and selection of EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project contractors.
