GCC has completed a significant upgrade of its cement plant in Rapid City, South Dakota, USA. The project increased the capacity of Kiln 6 by 0.44Mta to help satisfy regional demand growth and solidify the company’s market position, while meeting existing and future sustainability initiatives. GCC was founded in 1941 in Chihuahua, Mexico. It is a vertically-integrated  company with operations in Canada, Mexico and the USA. GCC produces and sells grey Portland cement, mortar, ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, plaster, aggregates and other construction materials.
