Right cooler at the right time

Phoenix Cement’s plant in Beckum, Germany, has benefitted from a year’s worth of operational experience with thyssenkrupp’s new polytrack eco clinker cooler. The first installation of its kind, the cooler has proven to reduce energy consumption amidst a landscape of ballooning energy prices and fuel uncertainty. Phoenix Cement Krogbeumker’s cement plant is located in Beckum, Germany, just a few kilometres from the thyssenkrupp polysius headquarters, ensuring the two companies have always had a close cooperation. Therefore, when the time came to test out the newest polytrack clinker cooler design by thyssenkrupp, it was only natural to carry out the first installation at the Phoenix works.
