Safety of operation -

Ensure the complete combustion in u r HGG.The mill inlet draft has to be suitably maintained. u just need to balance the circuit or else the flow will be disturbed on either of the ducts.

Moisture evaporation -

Ensure that u balance the heat content in the inlet gases and also the velocity through the mill/drying chamber, and Design the inlet temperature accordingly. In general for a ball mill running at optimum output, the 8 % moisture levels are too high to handle and there is expected to be a drop in the production.

We are considering switching our system (we dry our raw mill feed with gas fired furnaces) to partially drying the feed with exhaust gases from our tower and by using a Hot Gas Generator as well. I was wondering how we could evaluate the different possibilities and if there is any information on HGG's (as far as supplier, etc).

Hey;

Our new 5000 tpd palnt  has two ball mills (380 tph) drying of the mills achieve by hot gas from kiln & HGG.
