kiln process.

Dir sirs!

Thanks everybody helped me in the last time.

Now my factory face to face with problems about kiln process. That problems following :

Normally, we have to operate the our kiln follow parameters :

Raw mix : LSF : 100.

               SM : 2.55

               MA : 1.45

Kiln feed : 275 t/h.

Heat consumption : abt. 780 kcal/ kg clinker.

Kiln inlet : Oxygen : 3%.

               NOx : 800 - 1000 ppm.

               CO : 0%.

Temp : Meal chute : 850 degree Celcius.

           Pyrometer : 1470 degree Celcius.

           Secondary : 1100 degree Celcius.

           TAT          : 950 degree Celcius.

Kiln load : 300 up to 380 A.

kiln speed : 3.5 rpm ( max. 3.97rpm).

Air consumption (cooler) : 2.8 m3N/kg clinker.

Now our kiln running with parameters following :

Kiln feed : 275 t/h.

Heat consumption : abt. 780 kcal/ kg clinker.

Kiln inlet : Oxygen : 3%.

               NOx : 400 - 700 ppm.

               CO : 0%.

Temp : Meal chute : 850 degree Celcius.

           Pyrometer : 1470 degree Celcius.

           Secondary : 1100 degree Celcius.

           TAT          : 950 degree Celcius.

Kiln load : 450 up to 600 A.( sometime it had disturbance, that mean fluctuate too much).

kiln speed : 3.5 rpm ( max. 3.97rpm).

Air consumption (cooler) : 2.8 m3N/kg clinker.

kiln dust and snowmen build on the cooler.

We had to trying for a few days to increase the NOx and reduce the kiln load but we had no result.

I want to ask any questions :

Why NOx reducing and kiln load increasing and disturbancing during every parameters is stable?

The reducing of NOx how to related with kiln load increasing and disturbancing?

How to eleminate this problem?

Please sharing your ideas and experiences to me.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

HongMinh.

Re: kiln process.

Dear HongMinh;

Before sharing my experience with you regarding to this problem could you please give more information about:

Cyclone-5 outlet gas temperature?

Preheater or Cyclone-1 outlet gas temperature?

ID fan speed (before and now)?

Clinker results (literweight & freelime)?

and finally Type of fuel?

Best regard

Re: kiln process.

Thanks Mr David.

Our kiln running  with parameters following :

Gas temp after cyclone-5 is 340 degree celcius.(before) and now is 355 degree celcius.

Gas temp of cyclone-1 is 845 degree celcius.(before).

                                     852  degree celcius (now).

Under pressure after cyclone-5:

                       before : - 55 mbar

                       now : - 58 mbar.

ID fan speed :

                  before : 85%.

                  now : 87%

clinker result :

                  literweight : 1320 to 1380 g/l ( before)

                                    1200 to 1280 g/l (now).

                  Freelime : 0.8 to 1.2 (before).

                                 1.2 to 2 (now).

Type of fuel :

                anthracite coal.

                NCV : 6800 kcal/kg.

                V : 6.5 to 6.8.

                A : 18 to 19.

With there parameters i think the coating is appearing in the preheater and at the kiln inlet but we have to cleaning every shifts and now it not better.

We have been used air blaster to solver snowmen problem and now grate cooler is ok.

 Please sharing your experience.

Best regards.

HongMinh.

Re: kiln process.

It sounds to me that there is some reducing conditions leading to degradation of NOx and increased sulphur circulation causing the snowman formation and change in clinker litre weight. Has the burner been adjusted? Has the fuel fineness changed?
