Re: high free lime and liter weight
Adjustment of LSF 98-99 and SM 2.4-2.6 with AM 1.6 may please be attempted for raw meal and accordingly individual components of raw meal needs correction.i.e.redesign raw mix keeping in view the fuel being fired in the kiln.

Hello Elwathig,
I have a couple of questions;-
Are you experiencing both high free limes and high litre weights?
Your raw meal chemistry suggests a relatively easy to burn mix (depending on your fuel's ash content of course). What fuel do you use and what is its ash content? Do you use the same fuel in the precalciner?
What is the LSF, SM and AM of your clinker?
What is the nature of the blockages in the precalciner area? ie hard/soft/large slabs etc. and where (and how often) do they predominately form? I know it is always very difficult to obtain a sample, but have you ever tested the blockage material to see if it is sulphur or alkali related?

Ted.

Re: high free lime and liter weight
Dear elwathig,
If iam not wrong your on line oxygen analysers are not working. Blindly uou are pumping the fuel into kiln as well as PC. If you are getting high free lime and high literweights that may be because of reduction atmosphere in the kiln. this leads to partial blockages in the pre-heater, which your are getting now. You can try by reducing fuel fired to kiln to maintain the minimum oxygen level at kiln inlet. If you have damper in TA duct you can reduce to increase the oxygen content in the kiln though. It is better to carryout the kiln air balancing to know the gas distribution in between secondary air and tertiory air.
