Blockage at top 3rd cyclone in 5 stage ph
we have problem of suden blockage of 3rd cyclone ph. The blockage appear very fast which lead to stop the kiln.
We have IHI 5 stage ph with in-line flash france precalciner. The blockage materil is soft loss in some part. please advice becuse we are getting this case every 2 - 1 week.

The possible reasons of cyclone jamming
1.Molar ratio not balanced.
2.Higher than the normal volatile matter i.e. S03,K2O & Na2O & Cl. in the hotmeal
3.Obstruction in the cyclone i.e. tipping valve not functioning properly.
4.Bricks or coating stuck-up in the meal pipe.
5.Over-burning and incomplete combustion of fuel in main and calciner.
Please analyse the blockage material by conventional wet method and mineralogically/microstructurally by XRD and Optical microscopy to find out the root cause of cyclone blockage.These are the ways to analyse any problem.Without pain there is no gain.
