water spray is used to cool down the clinker rather than to control the free lime and water spray can increase the formation of Cal.Hyroxide after reaction with free lime.

thanks for reply... no we have no clinker temp problem our lab insisting on water spray over clinker as they telling that due to this freelime will reduce in clinker so i have question is this right is due to CAOH formation free lime will reduce?
