Kiln outlet seal

Hi; Our kiln is 4500 tpd with preheater and precalciner. my question is that; due to ovality in our kiln shell most of kiln outlet seal plates worn out and now we have a gap reached to 150 mm. Can anyone tell me if this gap will effect in our kiln operation? if yes why?
