re snow man

Hello Yndiaye,

The colour and vertical striations on the snowman in your photograph indicate to me that this buildup imay have formed from airborne dust rather than overheated clinker falling into the cooler from the kiln. However this may be just superficial, it's hard to tell the texture of the buildup from the photo, or if the light colour is simply just dust on the surface.

Therefore I have some other questions;-

1. Have you examined the interior of the snowman? What is it composed of inside, hard clinker, fused nodules or softer material?

2. What is the chemical analysis of the buildup... and if it is different inside, what are the physical structures of the different parts and their chemical analyses (including free lime)?

3. Where are your blasters located?  There appears to be a lot of buildup up against the cooler wall, lower down... are there any blasters behind the buildup in this area?

Regards,

Ted.
