re BALL MILL POWER

I think you are putting three input data given below wrongly for calculating the mill net power [kW net]:

1. Mill effective diameter (The mill internal diameter measured from liner top surface)

2.Calculation of mill central distance ( h) from mill centre to media top layer

For calculation of arm of gravity central distance is required.

3.Grinding media tonnage data and volumetric filling % is wrongly estimated

The formula is well proven and it will give accurate result only when you put correct measured input data.

re BALL MILL POWER

DEAR SIR

ACTUALLY MILL HAS NOT STARTED SO FAR .

IT HAS BEEN SUPPLIED BY KRUPP WITH THE DIMENSIONS GIVEN ABOVE. MY DOUBT IS THAT THE INSTALLED POWER IS ONLY 2600 KW WHILE THE CALCULATED POWER WITH THE GIVEN DATA IS ALREADY 2600KW OR MORE .

I AM JUST CONFIRMING THE DATAS GIVEN BY SUPPLIER.

PLEASE DO COMMENT.

THANKS

re BALL MILL POWER

Hi Dharmendra,

Pease ask the OEM, an effective mill internal diameter of the mill he has considered to design the mill main drie power and the calculate the mill main drive power @ 28% vilumetric filling level. You wlll get the answer of your queries.
