Dear All,

Does anyone has a technical study for producing the calcines clay in a cement plant and what are the modifications needed for the kiln to use it to produce such this calcined clay

re Calcined clay

First you need to check that your clay has a kaolinite content of more than 40%. Then you need to grind the clay in your raw mill and feed to the kiln. The temperature required for clay calcination is much lower than for clinker formation. Around 800C, so you must control the kiln temperature profile to not over-burn the clay.
