The Capital Development Authority (CDA) of Pakistan has made temporary arrangement with Fauji Cement for the disposal of waste from the capital Islamabad.

Fauji Cement has installed a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) plant at its cement works near the village of Jang, Tehsil Fatehjang, Attock district, which processes solid waste into fuel.

The agreement with Fauji Cement is to be executed on a daily basis. As per the agreement, the CDA will transport the waste up to a green belt sector, where Fauji Cement will segregate the material and then send it to its plant.
