Turnover of the Rezina cement plant in Moldova owned by Lafarge Ciment has exceeded 1.003 billion lei (USS$1.2m) in 2008; an  increase of 180 million lei.

Net profit increased by one third and constituted almost 271.97 million lei ($24.7m).

Chairman of the Council, Philippe Questiaux, promised during the course of a meeting with Prime Minister Zinaida Grechanaya in 2008 to increase the cement output from 800,000t to 1.2-1.4Mt.
