Governor Danjuma Goje of Gombe State, Nigeria is to intervene on strain relationship between Ashaka Cement company Plc and its host communities.  The Governor while commenting on allegation of maltreatment by the company from the people of Funakaye Local Government led by its chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Abubakar condemned the poor treatment.  According to Goje, it is unfortunate that Ashaka Cem was having problem with the people despite the fact that the company was making a lot of money from cement making.  The Governor condemn the company for patronizing gympsum suppliers outside the State than buying from their host communities.

Said Goje " this is a serious case and government will intervene. Why should Ashaka be buying gympsum from Sokoto and not from you people?" The Governor appealed to the people of the area to be orderly and not to take laws into their hands due to the deliberate humiliation.  "You should continue to cooperate with Ashaka, I assure you something will be done".  Besides the government promised to construct Bajoga -Ashaka road, electrify Jalingo village and take over Tango Community Secondary School built by the community.
