Carpatcement yesterday inaugurated, at the Casial Deva cement plant, the first automated line in Romania using alternative fuels. including used tyres in cement production, the investment amounting to Euro 600,000. Through this investment Carpatcement has made a first step towards sustainable development in the cement industry. In August, a similar lineis due to be opened in Moldocim Bicaz, and next year in Romcif Fieni, the two investments totaling some Euro 2m, said Mihai Rohan, Carpatcement Romania general manager talking to local news sources.
