Peruvian Cementos Pacasmayo net profit down to US$4.52m

Peruvian cement producer Cementos Pacasmayo has posted a net profit of PEN15.74m (US$4.52m) for the first quarter of 2004, compared to PEN16.3m soles  for the same quarter of 2003.

Cementos Pacasmayo’s operating profit stood at PEN32.65m US$9.37m for the first quarter of 2004, compared to PEN25.9m (US$7.4m) for the same quarter of 2003.

The company posted a revenue of PEN184.46m (US$52.93m) over the period, compared to PEN91.93m (US$26.4m) a year ago.

Cementos Pacasmayo, which is the country’s third largest cement producer, has 18 per cent market share in Peru.
