Fujairah Natural Resources Corp (FNRC) and JSW Cement have signed a contract to establish and operate a new 1.65Mta cement grinding unit at Al Tawyeen in Fujairah, UAE.
The project, first announced in February 2026, is expected to be completed within approximately 15 months and will include a dedicated ordinary Portland cement production unit, together with associated utilities and infrastructure.
JSW Cement said the new facility would use locally-produced clinker and help meet growing cement demand in the UAE and wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market. The investment is also expected to improve supply-chain efficiency and increase the emirate’s building materials production capacity.
Ali Qasim, director general of FNRC, said the project would support industrial investment in Fujairah while adding value to the local economy and making greater use of the emirate’s natural resources.
The investment comes amid continued growth in construction and infrastructure activity across the UAE and GCC region.
