Arabian Cement profits fall 41% in 1Q 2016

Arabian Cement (Egypt) reported a 40.5 per cent fall in earnings in the first quarter of 2016. According to consolidated financial results, the company earned EGP34.15m (US$3.85m) in Q1 2016, compared with EGP57.37m (US$6.47m) over the same period last year. Arabian Cement Company (ACC) has  described its 4Q15  financial results as  "mixed". According to Egypt Daily News, the company added that nothing is alarming with regards to profits, losses, and the operating performance. FLSmidth has signed a contract with Arabian Cement Company (ACC) for operation and maintenance of the production lines at its cement plant located near the city of Suez in Egypt. Egypt: Arabian Cement Co reports rise in 9M15 volumes but lower prices

Arabian Cement Co (ACC) of Egypt reported a four per cent decline in revenues to EGP1711m (US$219m) for the first nine months of 2015, due to a 12 per cent decline in prices which was partially offset by a nine per cent increase in volumes. Arabian Cement Co (ACC) has placed an order with CNBM (China) for a cement grinding plant including two Loesche vertical roller grinding mills. Arabian Cement Company (ACC) said first-quarter revenue increased by 11 per cent to EGP585m (US$76.6m) compared to EGP529m a year earlier. CNBM International Engineering Co Ltd has signed a turnkey contract with Arabian Cement Co for a 10,000tpd clinker line in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
