Egypt's  Arabian Cement Company has reported net sales of EGP5.93bn (US$119.67m) in the year ended 31 December 2023, up from EGP4.55bn in the same period in the previous year. Gross profit advanced from EGP904.85m in 2022 to EGP1.33bn the following year. August cement sales up 10% YoY in Saudi Arabia

Cement sales in Saudi Arabia advanced by 10 per cent YoY in August 2022, according to a report by brokerage house Aljazira Capital. Sales last month reached 4.38Mt marking a 19.2 per cent improvement on the previous month.Cement exports grew by 34 per cent YoY in August to 788,000t, compared to 588,000t in August 2021. Arabian Cement Co of Saudi Arabia has filed a lawsuit against Emaar the Economic City to claim the remaining quantities of limestone it should have received in accordance with an agreement signed between the parties on 28 April 2012. Egypt’s Arabian Cement Co has seen its consolidated net loss after tax widen to EGP23.28m (US$1.48m) in the first half of 2021, compared to EGP5.63m in the year-ago period. Sales revenue declined 26.9 per cent YoY to EGP964.86m from EGP1.32bn in the 1H20.

Saudi Arabian producers listed in the main market saw an estimated 15 per cent decline in total net profits to SAR892.5m (US$237.9m) in the first quarter of 2021, compared to around SAR1.05bn in the year-ago period, according to Al Eqtisadiah. Arabian Cement faces mill project delay at Rabigh plant

Arabian Cement Co said its new cement mill project at the Rabigh plant has been delayed by 150 days and will now be completed in the 4Q21. The delay was due to contractor China National Building Materials Corp being unable to travel to Saudi Arabia to complete the installation and commissioning work because of coronavirus travel restrictions.

Egypt's cement industry has reported a sudden surge in total sales, recording 3.64Mt during June 2020, including minimal exports, up 42 per cent MoM and one per cent YoY.
