Building collapses at Holcim Obourg05 June 2017, Published under Cement NewsA collapse of a building near one of the kilns of Holcim’s 1.4Mta Obourg plant in Belgium on 23 May has resulted in the death of one worker and the closure of the plant as an investigation takes place into the causes of the collapse. Gebr Pfeiffer awarded Cemminerals grinding contract26 January 2017, Published under Cement NewsGrinding specialist Gebr Pfeiffer was awarded the order for a grinding plant for slag and cement by Cemminerals NV. The Belgian cement producer is in the process of establishing a new grinding unit at the Kluizendok in the port of Ghent. The new facility proposed is a single grinding mill with production capacity of around 0.7Mta. The mill is scheduled for commissioning in early 2018.
